Dominica has a tropical rainforest climate with warm temperatures and high humidity throughout the year. The average high temperatures range from the mid to upper 80s Fahrenheit (29-31 degrees Celsius), while lows generally stay in the mid to upper 70s Fahrenheit (24-26 degrees Celsius). The island experiences two seasons: a dry season from January to May and a wet season from June to December, with the heaviest rainfall occurring from August to October. Dominica is located in the hurricane belt, and visitors should be aware of the risk of severe storms, including hurricanes, during the hurricane season, which runs from June to November. However, the island's rugged terrain and mountainous interior can offer some protection from the strongest winds and rain. Overall, Dominica offers a lush and tropical environment, with frequent rainfall supporting its rich rainforest ecosystem and natural attractions.
