Caribbean Weather Summary
Caribbean islands generally experiences warm temperatures, high humidity, and plenty of sunshine due to their tropical climate. Average highs range from the mid-80s to low 90s Fahrenheit (29-32 degrees Celsius) and lows in the mid-70s Fahrenheit (24-26 degrees Celsius). Rainfall is abundant, with some islands receiving up to 100 inches (254 cm) of rain per year, especially during the wet season from May to October. Wind speeds vary, with trade winds blowing at 10-20 mph (16-32 kph) during the summer and calmer winds in the winter. The Caribbean hurricane season runs from June to November, with the peak season from mid-August to late October. As such, visitors and residents should stay aware of weather reports and safety precautions.
